I'm from Washington Heights, aka Little Dominican Republic, and after moving to Brooklyn 16 years ago, GOOD Dominican food has been hard to come by until... I found Alex's Luncheonette. I only come here for Dominican food and little frituras like quipe's, pastelitos, arepitas, etc. It's good every single time.

Wow! I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 1.5 years and have not been able to stop by yet because I rarely have cash. When I walked in today, I found out they accept credit cards anyways. And this was the most kind, caring, welcoming crew I could’ve asked for. They let me practice my Spanish with them, and were so kind to me. I came home and the food was literally so good. I felt like I was in an Abuela‘s house in the DR. I can’t wait to go back and this is dangerous for me to live this close by!

Alex's Lunchonette was recommended to me by a coworker. I had my party catered by them and it was plenty of food and the food was DELICIOUS! My guest kept telling how good the food was and needless to say the food went. They also deliver long distance which is great. I definitely recommend them for catering.
